The nation observes the 27th death anniversary former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. on Saturday, August 21. He was one of the strongest influences in the opposition party against the Marcos Administration.
His death sparked a series of revolutions against the administration leading to the EDSA Revolution of 1986.
Blessed are you when wicked men abuse you and perecute you and speak all kinds of calumny against you all because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven. This is how they persecuted the prophets before you.
